In the wake of the recent events, the need for innovation in Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) appeared to be more pressing than ever. The constant criticism on one of Pakistan’s largest assets, its productivity and quality of services they are providing became quite a common sight.
It would be unjustified if we don’t admit that the new design is extremely creative with a lot of thought put in it. It incorporates blue, shades of green and yellow, that cast a dominating impact on the plain white surface. With the animal’s national affinity, it represents resilience, that explains the motive behind the entire rebranding – improving to be the best again.
Not just this, the slogan has also been revamped. The new slogan reads ‘We fly at the right attitude’. It is webbed to inspire new motivation, understanding the linkage between the altitude and the attitude, sending a message that with quality, customer satisfaction is a priority as well.
Musharraf Rasool, CEO PIACL, says that this rebranding isn’t confined to logo and slogan only, but is a fresh new start for the airline. He assured and promised that with this new initiation, PIA will be on the top again, restoring the previously lost status.
He said that the Markhor as part of the new design represents resilience, steadfastness, and a great comeback – all the core values of the rebranding. The planes will gradually be repainted and soon, all the airplanes will be refurbished as the part of the process.
