Pakistan International Airlines once had a poultry business, which they have been planning to sell now.

In 1960, it was PIA that introduced large scale poultry growing in the country.

The national flag carrier has issued a tender notice showing its intent to auction poultry shelters, equipment, and scrap.

According to the PIA Spokesman, Abdullah Hafeez Khan, “I believe it might be looking strange because you might not know that poultry business was started in Pakistan by PIA.”

To prepare in-flight meals for customers with fresh chicken meat and eggs, PIA had decided to establish its own poultry farm in collaboration with the Shaver Poultry Breeding Farms Ltd. of Canada.
