PIA to start flight operations to the UK from tomorrow. Here are the fares and details
The national flag carrier will also begin special flight operations to bring back stranded Pakistanis.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed its flight operations to the UK following the orders of the Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan.
According to PIA’s spokesman, flights will begin operation on 19th April, from Lahore and Islamabad to London, Birmingham, and Manchester. This permission was given after it was ensured that all safety measures will be taken.
The one-way discounted fare will be RS. 110,000 or £525, bookings have already begun.
The national flag carrier will also begin special flight operations to bring back Pakistanis stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The first flight will bring back 200 passengers to Islamabad.
The airline is also finalizing a plan to launch numerous special flights to brink back more nationals from the UAE. Around 40,000 people have registered with Pakistan consulate in Dubai for repatriation. This also includes 10,000 overseas Pakistanis which are jobless due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
