PIA to start direct flights to Germany, Scandinavian countries in a bid to regain its lost glory

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is all set to start direct flights to Germany and other Scandinavian countries.

Pakistan International Airlines is all set to start its direct flights to Germany and other Scandinavian countries. While chairing a meeting in Sialkot, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PIA, Air Marshal Arshad Malik, said that soon the airline will start direct flights to Frankfurt, Germany.

Senior PIA officials, along with the SCCI President Malik Muhammad Ashraf, Senior Vice President (SVP) Khurram Azeem Khan, Vice President (VP) Chaudhry Jalil Aslam, Senior SCCI officials, Chairman Arline, Air SIAL, Fazal Jilani, chairman Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) Nadeen Anwer Qureshi, chairman SIAL’s Business Development Committee Mian Nadeem Javaid and others were present during the meeting.

Regaining the lost glory:

CEO further stated that starting flights to Scandinavian countries via Frankfurt, Germany will not only help the airlines but will also facilitate the business community.

”Restarting the route is related to the entity’s recent revival plan. It will be beneficial for PIA to start direct flights to Germany and other Scandinavian countries that were once a part of the PIA’s route network,” said CEO.

Air Marshal Arshad Malik further said that from next year, PIA will also start direct flights from Sialkot to Medina.

The national carrier is on the path to self-reliance and sustainable development to achieve its lost glory. Efforts and reforms introduced by the administration have finally started to show results.
