PIA to restart UK flights using Portuguese charter aircraft
Last week, PIA had announced that it would be operating France-Pakistan flights from August 15 to facilitate its passengers and bring them to the country.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has confirmed a contract with The Portuguese charter airline, HiFly, to resume its flight operations to the United Kingdom (UK).
PIA will charter an aircraft from the international company and utilize it for its flights to Europe.
As per the airline’s spokesperson, the aircraft Airbus A-330 will be used for the flights.
It will use PIA’s call sign and slot during the flight, he said, adding that the flights’ operation will begin from August the 14th.

HiFly is a Portuguese charter airline headquartered in Lisbon, the Portuguese capital. It has four wide-body aircraft – two new Airbus A330-900s, one Airbus A330-200, and one A340-300.
PIA’s competitor on the route, British Airways, has, likewise, announced that it would resume flight operations to Pakistan from Heathrow Airport in London from August the 14th.
The airline said it will start direct flights three times between London and Islamabad and will be taking further precautionary measures for the safety of its crew and passengers.
