[PICTURES] Artist From Azerbaijan Spends Three Years Writing Quran With Gold On Silk

Memmedzade started working on this project after she found out that the Quran had been transcribed on many kinds of fabric except silk.

Tünzale Memmedzade, a female painter from Azerbaijan spent three years rewriting the holy book of Quran by hand. Memmedzade started working on this project after she found out that the Quran had been transcribed on many kinds of fabric except silk.

She took the official version of the book from Diyanet, the Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs. Memmedzade used more than three pints of liquid gold and silver as well as 164 feet of 11.4” x 13” sheets of fine silk.

The painter considers this project to be her masterpiece. She says this project holds a unique significance because silk has been mentioned multiple times in the Quran as well.

  • But why ? The purpose of the Holy Quran is to read it with understanding , understand it using reason as Allah has commanded and then to act on its directives and make it our way of life . To turn it into a piece of art .. that was never asked of us . To “ Live it .. every second of our life , that is the asking “.

    • Thats known as love with Holy Quran. While doing so she must had read that many times that u won’t be able to to do
