We usually take selfies to capture the happiest moments we live, share them with those we love, and keep these happy moments memorable forever, but all the photos taken are not the same. Some photos are taken to record the worst moments in our lives.
These are pictures taken before death and depict a very harsh reality.
Here are nine pictures taken before death:
1. Xenia Ignatyeva
The 17-year-old Russian girl named Xenia Ignatyeva fell off a bridge 28 feet above the ground while taking a selfie.
Ignatyeva lost her balance and fell on a wire that tragically electrocuted her to death.
2. Jenni Rivera
On the 9th of December 2012, the Mexican pop star Jenni Rivera and her six friends took this photo right before taking off on a private jet which sadly collapsed, and no one survived.
3. Collette Moreno
The bride-to-be, Collette Moreno, and her best friend were headed to a bachelorette party when this photo was taken. A few seconds later, they met an accident, and Collette was killed in a head-on collision.
This selfie was snapped by the famous Puerto Rican musician Jadiel. It was uploaded to Instagram moments before Rican had a fatal motorcycle crash in New York in May of 2014.
5. Gary Slok
A boy named Gary Slok and his mother took this selfie a few minutes before taking off from Amsterdam on Malaysian Airlines, which was crashed over Ukraine in July of 2014.
6. Oscar Otero Aguilar
In July 2014, the 21-year old Mexican boy, Oscar Otero Aguilar, lost his life when he attempted to take a photo with a gun for his Facebook.
7. Karen Hernandez
The 13-year-old girl named Karen Hernandez wanted to take a selfie on the El Tunal river banks in Durango, Mexico. Accidentally, she fell into the river and drowned; firefighters rescued her body in July 2015.
8. Iranian Women
These two Iranian women died while singing karaoke in the car. They wanted to take a selfie and became so engrossed that they stopped watching the road and crashed into another car.
9. Top of a movie train
In March of 2014, a 21-year-old man died in Spain by electrocution when he climbed to the top of a movie train for a selfie.
