Plane Ticket Prices To Increase From the 1st of November
The Aviation Authority has announced to increase its landing charges by 25 % percent
Taking a flight anytime soon? Well get ready to keep some extra cash around with you. Starting from the 1st of November, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced to increase it’s embarkation fee as well as airport charges for its users.
The Revised Embarkation fees for international passenger at all airports has been risen to Rs. 2,000 for economy and Rs. 3,000 for business class respectively.
In addition the CAA will charge its passengers an ‘airport charge’ of Rs. 2,800 for those travelling abroad. Foreign nationals will be charged a fee of $20 dollars each. No airline is to charge any amount from the passengers on account of difference in airport charges at check-in counters.
These charges were varying for different airports operating within the country, however uniform charges will now be applied to all national airports.
This decision is binding and applicable on all passengers with effect from the 1st of November which includes advanced bookings and reservations.
Additionally, the Aviation Authority has announced to increase its landing charges by 25 % percent during its peak timings under its new aviation policy.
The aeronautical charges have also been risen by 10% for international flights.
