The Federal Cabinet met with the Prime Minister of Pakistan yesterday and approved Hajj Policy 2019. This was revealed by Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan during a media briefing in the federal capital.
She told that premier directed to make Hajj-2019 scandal free and to ensure the provision of all possible facilities to the pilgrims. She also said that this is for the very first time that the pilgrims from Pakistan will leave Islamabad airport after completion of all formalities of immigration to ensure a hassle-free journey to the Holy Land.
Imran Khan will inaugurate the Hajj flight operations himself. Minister for religious affairs and inter-faith harmony Dr. Noorul Haq Qadri said for the first time Saudi Arabia is extending the E-Visa facility to Pakistani pilgrims.
200,000 pilgrims will offer the religious obligation this year
200,000 Pakistani pilgrims will be performing Hajj this year and the government has made excellent arrangements for their transportation, food and accommodation facilities, said Noorul Haq Qadri.
The money will be returned to pilgrims
The sum of 25,000 to 58,000 PKR will be returned to Pakistani pilgrims under government Hajj Scheme because the government has saved this amount from bargaining in transport and accommodation matters, he added.
Provision of Pakistani food to pilgrims
He further said that the latest air-conditioned buses have been hired for the transportation facility to the pilgrims and Pakistani food will be provided to the pilgrims from Pakistan.
