PM Imran Khan Meets The Delegation Of Religious Scholars

A group of religious scholars called on the Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office today in Islamabad. The delegation included well reputed religious scholars of the country. While, the meeting was also attended by Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood, Naeem ul Haque, Firdous Ashiq Awan and other leaders of Pakistan Tehreek E Insaf.

The religious scholars lauded the Prime Minister for highlighting the Indian brutalities in Kashmir during his speech at the 74th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly. The religious scholars appreciating the PM stated that Imran Khan not just proved himself to be an ambassador of Kashmir but also represented people from all walks of life. They went on to add that all the religious scholars and the nation is thankful to their PM for his brave and fact based speech regarding Islam.

The religious scholars also expressed their gratitude at the PM’s decision of launching a new TV channel in collaboration with Malaysia and Turkey. It was stated that the joint TV channel will not just be beneficial in letting the youth know about the history of Islam. But the negative propaganda against Islam will also be effectively countered.

The delegation which included Maulana Allama Tahir Ashrafi, Mufti Munibur Rehman, Allama Arif Wahidi and other religious scholars also appreciated PM Khan’s efforts of peace in the middle east. PM Imran Khan has emerged as the ambassador of peace in the region, they said.

The religious scholars extended their support to the Prime Minister’s vision of building Pakistan on the principles of Riyasat-i-Madina. They also stated that the religious scholars will be standing shoulder to shoulder with the civilian and military leadership for the protection of Pakistan.

Earlier the Prime Minister while addressing the delegation of Scholars stated that the religious scholars has key role to play in helping Pakistan get rid of different kinds of problem. Talking about the different curriculum and system in the education sector the premiere said that it leads to division in the society. The Prime Minister stressed on the needs of implementation of uniformed education system in the country. He added that for the implementation of uniformed education system, the government will need the services of religious scholars.

Prime Minister Imran Khan went on to add that the government wants to provide the same opportunities to the students of madrassas as that of the English medium schools.

Prime Minister also called for suggestions of Ulema and Islamic advisory council in the light of Quran and Sunnah regarding bringing reforms in the tax system.

Talking about the Kashmir issue, Imran Khan said that he has raised the issue of the muslims of Kashmir on every forum. He added that the Indian Government cannot suppress the voice of Kashmiri people through use of force. He went on to add that due to the international community’s awareness regarding the Kashmir conflict, it has made it impossible for Indian government to silence Kashmiris through aggression.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also paid tribute to the religious scholars for highlighting the Kashmir issue at every platform.
