PM Imran performed groundbreaking of Naya Pakistan apartment project for low-income citizens

Last week, Prime Minister Imran Khan performed the groundbreaking ceremony to construct affordable apartments in the LDA City Lahore under the Naya Pakistan Housing Program. The initiative has been taken to provide shelter to low-income citizens.

After the groundbreaking ceremony, the PM addressed the gathering.

Khan said the government has been taking necessary and concrete steps for development within the construction sector.

The premier added that low-income class citizens will only pay installments instead of rent and will become owners of houses  through the Naya Pakistan Housing program.

Moreover, 35,024 apartments will be constructed under the scheme being initiated by the Lahore Development Authority in collaboration with the Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority.

Initially, 4000 apartments will be built in the first phase of the project. Every apartment will have two bedrooms and cover an area of approximately 650 square feet.

The apartments will have a fixed price of PKR 2.7 million, which will be payable in easy installments.
