PM Khan, Celebrities take a stand and call out Israeli atrocities against Palestine

Violence erupted on Friday when heavily Israeli police were deployed as Muslims were offering evening prayers at Al-Aqsa during the holy month of Ramazan.

The news of Israeli police attacking Al Aqsa Mosque and leaving dozens of worshipers injured has left millions of Muslims worldwide outraged. Hundreds of thousands of worshippers had earlier packed Islam’s third-holiest site on the final Friday of Ramzan.

Among many others raising concerns over the current situation in Palestine, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Shahid Afridi, Asim Azhar, and Farhan Saeed also took to social media to raise their voice against Israel and its atrocities against Palestinian people.

The PM Imran Khan has strongly condemned the Israeli Forces’ attack, especially during the holy month of Ramazan on Al Aqsa Mosque, violating all measures of humanity and international law.

In a tweet shared on Sunday, the PM said Pakistan reiterates its support for the people of Palestine.

Khan urged the international community to take immediate action to protect Palestinians and their lawful rights.

The Famous Pakistani singer, Asim Azhar, in a tweet, shared, “I’m sickened and disgusted. How can you attack a place of worship and ambush defenseless worshippers? And yet again, the world will stay silent on Israel’s endless oppression of Palestine.”

Shahid Afridi, the Former Pakistan Cricket team captain, also criticized the Israeli atrocities.

In a tweet, he said, “The walls of Al-Aqsa Mosque are red with the blood of Palestinian people, and here, my eyes are red with tears of helplessness. The international conscience is sleeping wrapped in a blanket of indifference. Perhaps the blood of Muslims is so disrespectful that no voice will be raised, and no operations will be launched. First, Qibla, we are incapable of paying off the debt of your sanctity.”

The singer-turned-actor, Farhan Saeed, shared a video saying,” The world’s is deafening silence is criminal. How can the world community sit back and watch this happen? This is terrorism.”

Many people have protested against Israeli policies to evict Palestinian families from their homes on land claimed by Jewish settlers in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, Palestinians have also staged a series of sit-ins in the area in recent days, condemning Israeli orders to leave their homes. Following this, Israeli security forces have attacked the protests using tear gas, skunk water, rubber-coated bullets, and shock grenades. Dozens of Palestinians have been detained.
