PM Khan to establish a software city in Islamabad, increase software-related exports to $10 billion
The PM decided to take software-related exports of the country to US$ 10 billion.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved a project to establish a software city spanning over 40 acres in the federal capital.
PM Khan chaired a meeting on Information Technology on the 7th of February 2020. The PM decided to take software-related exports of the country to US$ 10 billion.
During the meeting, it was decided to escalate the Information Technology sector of the country, like other countries in the region.
The meeting took important decisions to improve IT exports and increase the span of the sector to all parts of the country.
It was decided to digitally join cities using telephone towers across the country other than implementing bandwidth and fibre optic process on an instant basis.
Intended at improving the software exports, the government has decided to announce a relief package for small-scale software exporters.
