IMF promise

The PML-N government has been accused of breaching the IMF promise by borrowing 200 billion from the State Bank of Pakistan.

The PTI spokesperson on economy and finance, Muzzamil Aslam, shared the Provisional data on the Monetary Aggregates as of the 15th of April 2022.

He tweeted that the current government has breached the IMF terms and borrowed 200 billion from the central bank.

Dr. Awab also tweeted:

Miftah Ismail borrowed Rs 200,000,000,000 from the SBP. After almost three years of no borrowing from the central bank – by the PTI. The PML-N is gearing to its old ways to shell out state institutions as long as they can spend millions on Jatti Umrah.”
