PML-N accused of borrowing money from SBP after three years, Ministry of Fianace clarifies

The PML-N government has been accused of breaching the IMF promise by borrowing 200 billion from the State Bank of Pakistan.
The PTI spokesperson on economy and finance, Muzzamil Aslam, shared the Provisional data on the Monetary Aggregates as of the 15th of April 2022.
He tweeted that the current government has breached the IMF terms and borrowed 200 billion from the central bank.

Dr. Awab also tweeted:
Miftah Ismail borrowed Rs 200,000,000,000 from the SBP. After almost three years of no borrowing from the central bank – by the PTI. The PML-N is gearing to its old ways to shell out state institutions as long as they can spend millions on Jatti Umrah.”

Ministry of Finance clarifies:
The Ministry of Finance has issued a clarification on its official twitter account and denied the news that is circulating on social media.
It tweeted:
A news is circulating on social media whereby an impression is being created that Government has borrowed from State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) which is grossly incorrect and depicts the limited understanding of the monetary variables. pic.twitter.com/DZdqxrHRDU
