PML-Q Punjab’s Vice President Calls For Eviction Of Ahmadis From Khushab
The Ahmadiyya community continues to be persecuted as a Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Malik Ilyas Awan has demanded the deputy commissioner of Khushab to evict the Ahmadis from the district.
In a letter, the Punjab’s ruling party’s leader also made a request to withdraw all the security from the Ahmadis living in Khushab. The letter went viral on social media, which termed providing protection to the community akin to ‘playing with the Constitution’.
The PML Q leader added that Ahmadis can openly worship only in Chenab Nagar. He also mentioned the place, which was allotted to them during Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s government, where they can worship for a specific period of time.
Imagine a US senator demanding expulsion of Muslims from his state. In Pakistan, VP of PML-Q, an ally of PTI, calls for expulsion of Ahmadis from district Khushab.

HRCP’s condemnation
The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) strongly condemned the PML Q leader’s call “to have the local Ahmadiyya community evicted from Khushab and their security withdrawn.”
It also called upon the state to protect the Ahmadis, besides demanding the local politician to withdraw his request.
