In a joint operation carried out by Pakistan Navy, Maritime Security Agency and Anti-Narcotic Force at Jiwani, 241kg heroin and 2kg Hashish worth billions of rupees have been recovered by the authorities. As per a spokesperson of the Pakistan Navy, the value of the seized narcotics exceeds Rs 2400 million in the international market.

Following the operation, the Rs 2410 million worth of narcotics were handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force. The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency spotted a suspicious Fast Speed Boat and acted accordingly.

“Continuous Anti-Narcotics operations and seizures by PMSA are the results of meticulous planning and constant surveillance of maritime Zones of Pakistan,” the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency said in a press release.

“PMSA maintains its permanent presence at sea with a large contingent of Ships and Aircraft to counter any unlawful activity happening along the coastal belt and adjacent areas of responsibility,” the press release further added.
