Punjab Police website updated: Now you can easily lodge complaints online

To make the registration of e-complaints user-friendly and more convenient, the Inspector General of Punjab Police (IGP) Shoaib Dastagir has launched an upgraded website of the department with new
er features and updates.
The Police Khidmat Marakaz, the 8787 Complaint Centre, 15 Emergency Service, Rasta App, and 89.8 FM radio have also been added to the new website. This new feature will allow users to register e-complaints as the website will enable smart and modern policing. It has been upgraded in partnership with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
The IGP said that the use of modern technology is important to the rule of law and provision of timely information to citizens as modern policing initiatives is essential.
Modern Policing: Need of The Hour
The Inspector General was addressing the launching ceremony of the new website at the CPO (Central Police Office). The Additional Inspector General (Operations) Inam Ghani and PITB officers also attended the event.
Mr. Ghani explained all the new features of the website to the IGP that would focus on portraying a soft image and enhance public service delivery projects. It will provide all information on time and offer a better service delivery.
He said that the citizens can now report accidents for police action and avail Khidmat Markaz facilities through the website. Contact numbers of police personnel, like the Regional Police Officer, district police officer, city police officer, and other officers were also given on the website, to enable users with easy access.
The IGP further said that new projects, with the latest technology, had started to save time and money of the people and would also promote fast-track policing.
