Five Pakistani Actors, who Landed Roles Because of Famous Relatives?

While the Pakistani audience criticizes celebrities for paving the way to nepotism, the stars seem to deny all accusations. Many argue that not everyone uses the family card to get in. Some actors reason that they got this success solely based on their talent.

However, over the years, the Pakistani entertainment industry has showcased many Pakistani actors who made it big right off the bat and happened to have esteemed celebrity relatives.

Let’s take a look at five celebrities who ended up landing lead roles in top-notch projects, possibly because they had their connections rooting for them

(The list was put together by Lens ProPakistani)

1. Shahroze Sabzwari

Since Tanhaiyan: Naye Silsilay, this male actor has not delivered a single good performance. However, he always ends up signing massive projects like Naand, Maana Ka Gharana, Ghar Jamai, Dilruba, and Dewar-e-Shab. Will his terrible performances ever make the directors reconsider giving him a prominent role?

Maybe not, because he has the support of his father, Bahroze Sabzwari.

2. Zara Noor Abbas

The actress entered the Pakistani entertainment industry playing the damsel in distress in Khamoshi. However, ever since her first drama, she has not established any versatility. Regardless, she is cast in almost all Bushra Ansari’s projects and many stellar drama series like Ehd-e-Wafa and Zebaish.

Pakistani audience is criticizing Zara Noor Abbas for being a star kid.

Did marrying into a famous celebrity family help Zara Noor Abbas’ career take off?

Talent, or no talent. Asad Siddiqui’s career is expanding.

3. Asad Siddiqui

We have seen Asad Siddiqui playing the bad guy in many drama series like Sanam, Gumrah, Mah-e-Tamam, Balaa, Tawaan, Dilruba, and so much more. Although his performance did not have an edge, his career seems to continue to expand across all bounds. After marrying Zara Noor Abbas, the actor started popping up in major projects and movies like Chhalawa and Zebaish.

This actor sure did not inherit talent from his uncle Adnan Siddiqui, which makes us wonder how he is cast in big projects?

Veteran actor Javed Sheikh’s son, Shehzad Sheikh, gets hired in big projects. Does his father’s influence help?

4. Shahzad Sheikh

Whenever the audience thinks about this actor’s father, Javed Sheikh, all that comes to mind is a long list of stellar performances and exceptional love. With the torch held that high, it was tough for Shehzad Sheikh to follow in his father’s footsteps considering his stagnant acting style. Regardless, he still landed lead roles in massive projects like Tabeer, Choti Si Zindagi, Anaa, Deewar-e-Shab, Alif Allah Aur Insan, and Karachi Se Lahore.

It makes us think if Javed Sheikh also has stellar influence along with his stellar performances.

5. Salman Saeed

This actor’s name might not come to mind, but you must have seen the actor in many big projects like Mera Dil Mera Dushman and Khudgarz. Maybe you will continue to see Salman Saeed in many more drama serials, as he is the brother of one of the most influential stars in the entertainment industry, Humayun Saeed.

Salman’s acting is mediocre; therefore, only one explanation comes to mind when you see the actor playing prominent characters in big projects.
