Govt۔ to establish a ‘Potato Development Council’ to boost the potato production
In similar news, the ministry has also agreed to establish a Mango Development Council under the forthcoming STPF.

Recently, the Adviser to the Prime Minister for Commerce and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood, took to Twitter to announce:
The Government is considering expediting the establishment of a Potato Development Council under the forthcoming Strategic Trade Policy Framework (STPF).
In the tweet, Dawood further stated that the council would formulate a long-term vision and policy for the potato sector.
Referring to the potato industry, Dawood said:
I will soon visit all the potato growing areas and will meet the farmers. I will also look into the storage of potatoes and will analyze possible ways to facilitate the farmers and the vegetable growing and storing process.
