Many leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have criticized the government over the quirky statue of the late poet, Allama Iqbal.

However, People have been calling the PPP out for spending nearly $11 million on Benazir Bhutto’s statue in 2011.

According to an official, the statue of the late national poet was constructed by two gardeners over the period of three months.

The former director of the park, Ghulam Sibtain, said, ” We did not spend any state money to make this selfie point. We requested some older people who come to the park daily to help us with funds in the statue’s making.”
