President Trump asks PM Khan to mediate between US-Iran Standoff
President Trump had expressed trust in the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s leadership.

Foreign Affairs Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi while talking to reporters explains the agenda of a meeting between the two leaders. Both Prime Minister Khan and Trump discussed on the sidelines of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
PM Khan to mediate between US-Iran
Qureshi further said that to find a way out prime minister will discuss the issue with the Iranian leadership.
Prime Minister Khan made it clear to the leadership of the United States that the region cannot afford any war. There will be major and severe consequences of any irresponsible actions.
During the PM’s visit to Saudi Arabia, he recommended the cordial solution to the US-Iran deadlock.
Qureshi further said that President Trump during the meeting praises PM Khan and said I trust him and his leadership. Prime Minister Imran Khan clears the stance of Pakistan on Kashmir, Afghanistan, and Iran to President Trump.
Highlighted three issues
“The prime minister talked on three issues. There was no ambiguity in it. It had no flexibility,” says Qureshi.
Prime Minister Imran Khan highlighted the situation of Kashmir in front of Trump. He explains to the bloodshed and terror that Kashmiris are facing for the last 50 days. He further said to President Trump that India would only listen to the US so it should play its role wisely.
PM Khan also appreciated the role of US leadership and the UN Security Council in the Afghan peace process.
During the meeting, President Trump show concerns over the situation of Indian occupied Kashmir. He assures PM Khan to his support and role.
Qureshi further said that its time that the world should know that India is a big threat to peace in the region. “Even the Indian society is divided on their government’s actions in the Indian Occupied Kashmir, he added.
