Prime Minister Imran Khan today launched the Letter of Administration and Succession Certificates Initiative for Punjab in Islamabad.

The National Database and Registration Authority will issue succession certificates to legal beneficiaries within fifteen days to void the need to visit courts.

While addressing the attendees during the ceremony, Khan said, ” The government’s goal is to facilitate the people and lead Pakistan towards e-governance and e-voting.”

“We often forego the day-to-day things that genuinely facilitate people and make their lives easier. Today, technology has created many shortcuts that can be utilized,” he said.

He gave the Shaukat Khanum Hospital’s example where software had been introduced to make all the documents and records paperless.

“This has nullified any chances of corruption or false receipts. We aim to bring a similar system in the government,” the PM said.

Khan further went on to say that the government is also “computerizing land records” and continued that all the records in Islamabad would be digitized by August.

However, speaking about electoral reforms, the premier said that the federal government wants overseas Pakistanis to vote in the next elections.
