Professor brutally beaten in Karachi for not allowing a female student to sit in exam

An Assistant Professor was brutally injured for not allowing a female student from sitting in the exams by multiple students. The incident took place at the Federal University Gulshan-e-Iqbal Campus in Karachi.
Details have revealed that the incident occured in the jurisdiction of Aziz Bhatti Police Station. Police and Rangers rushed to the scene after they were informed about the incident.
About 15 students were arrested after a First Information Report (FIR) was registered against the students. They belonged to a student council.
Talking about the incident, Station House Officer (SHO) Aziz Bhatti Police Station, Adeel Afzaal, stated that the arrested students were involved in beating Microbiology Assistant Professor, Sikander Sherwani.
The SHO further briefed that the victim’s testimony had been recorded by the police which helped them identify the students involved. This also helped them in arresting the students with in no time.
Revealing the reason why the student wasn’t allowed to sit in the exams, the Professor told that she had zero attendance throughout the semester. According to the institute’s policy, such students aren’t eligible to appear in the exams and hence, she was stopped from attempting the paper.
