The year 2017 proved to be a lucky star for Pakistani cinema as commendable films in different genres were released. However most of them were quite unfortunate in leaving a mark like Yalghaar, Chalay Thay Saath and Mehrunnisa we lub you, people have high hopes associated with Project Ghazi.
The movie is the center of attention due to its star-studded cast and uniqueness as Ghazi is Pakistan’s first ‘fiction’ film.
Project Ghazi was scheduled to release nationwide on 14th July but got postponed a day before its release. The release delayed as an aftermath of harsh reaction by the audience related mostly to sound design and some technical issues. The new release date is unknown yet.
The trailer came out in the last month representing Project Ghazi as the first ever Pakistani Superhero. Humayun Saeed, Syra Shahroz, Shehryar Munawar and Adnan Jaffiri playing main roles, are in new and different getups.
However, from the trailer, it seems like the film is lacking the overall superhero movie vibes, with a simple battle between the good and bad.
A Little Insight Of The Trailer:
As understandable from the trailer, Humayun Saeed and Sheheryar Munawar are playing the two good guys which Sheryar under the mentorship of Humayun Saeed. They are on a mission to save “everyone”, whereas Adnan Jaffar is representing the bad or evil side.
The role of Syra Shahroz seems to have multiple sides. She is playing a scientist, an investigation officer and is also prominent in the action sequences of the film.
Amidst all this wonderful cast, is Talat Hussain with his outstanding acting and stellar expressions.
The trailer faced major criticism as one cannot exactly and clearly hear what everybody is saying. There is a lot of noise from music and something else, which overall dulls the impact of the trailer.
The director, Nadir Shah claims that international film processes are used along with 3D printed masks and concept art for the character design. Along with this, he has promised that the movie is a nice blend of western and eastern taste.
What is most important is that Pakistani Cinema has now stepped into something innovative.
Whether the ratings are high or low, Project Ghazi definitely is a big step forward for Pakistani industry!
I am loving it … Next level Pakistani flick!#ProjectGhazi
