PSL 2022: Shahid Afridi might not play his last PSL
Veteran Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi might not get to represent the Quetta Gladiators after suffering an injury during the training session.
Just a day before the start of Pakistan Super League (PSL), former Pakistan cricket team’s skipper has reportedly asked the franchise management to release him. According to local media, Boom Boom Afridi made the request due to his health as well as personal reasons.
Shahid Afridi is expected to leave the bio-secure bubble today. Reportedly, he is suffering from back pain and his sister-in-law has also passed away.
“Shahid Afridi’s children are alone at home […] and due to these reasons he wants to pull out from the bio-secure bubble,” the sources added.
Shahid Afridi had already announced that this year’s PSL will be his last. Now, it seems, the flamboyant all-rounder might not get to play his farewell match at the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
