PSL 7 draft

The much-awaited Pakistan Super League (PSL) 7 draft finally took place yesterday at the National High Performance Centre in Lahore. More than 400 players were part of the PSL 2022 draft and there were some names who remained unpicked.

Middle order batsman Umar Akmal is back in action as he was picked by the Quetta Gladiators for the upcoming edition of PSL. On the other hand, Kamran Akmal has refused to play for Peshawar Zalmi after being picked in the lowest category of players by his old team Peshawar Zalmi.

In a tweet, the wicket keeper thanked the Peshawar Zalmi management and said that he doesn’t deserve to play in this category.

The Zalmi management picked Afghanistan opener Hazratullah Zarzai to strengthen their squad. Jason Roy was picked up by Quetta Gladiators. England all-rounder Chris Jordan is back in PSL after missing the 2021 edition as he was picked by Karachi Kings in the Platinum Category.

The PSL 7 draft saw many top players remain unpicked. Here we take a look at the top 20 players who were not picked by any PSL franchise during the draft.
