PSL 7: PCB, franchises confirm 15 backup players incase of Covid-19 cases
Here's the list of backup players!
It seems, the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) will take place without any postponement or cancellation as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called 15 backup players. These players have been called incase any participating player contracts coronavirus.
The recent surge in Covid-19 cases has raised a question mark over whether the PCB will be able to hold the tournament successfully or not. However, the cricket board is doing all it can to complete PSL 7 without any hiccups.
The backup players will be part of the bio-secure bubble just like the rest of the players participating in the tournament. Incase any player falls sick, his backup will be selected from these 15 players.

- Saud Shakeel
- Omair bin Yousuf
- Ammad Alam
- Waqas Maqsood
- Arish Khan
- Amad Butt
- Aamer Jamal
- Imam ul Haq
- Nasir Nawaz
- Hassan Khan
- Tayyab Tahir
- Zahid Mahmood
- Umer Siddiq
- Bismillah Khan
- Abrar Ahmed
Furthermore, franchises have also confirmed their reserved picks. Peshawar Zalmi has picked Matt Parkinson and pacer Pat Brown as partial replacements for Saqib Mahmood and Liam Livingstone. Karachi Kings’ have replaced injured Tom Abell with Ian Cockbain.
Quetta Gladiators have named England’s Dan Lawrence in their reserved supplementary pick while Zalmi has named Pakistan pacer Sohail Khan.
