The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has expressed its concerns over the suspension of twitter accounts of Pakistani users.

In a statement issued on Twitter, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority stated that it considers the action of Twitter admin against set principles of freedom of speech. The Twitter accounts of Pakistani users were suspended without any warning and on unsubstantiated grounds, as per PTA.

PTA also asked the affected users to write an email to the telecommunication authority, so that the issue can be raised with Twitter officials.

Yesterday, Director-General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor had also tweeted regarding the suspension of twitter accounts of Pakistani users. He said that most of the accounts are getting suspended for extending support to Kashmir. DG ISPR had also assured that the issue will be resolved soon.
