PTA expresses concern over the ‘unsubstantiated’ suspension of Twitter accounts of Pakistani users

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has expressed its concerns over the suspension of twitter accounts of Pakistani users.
In a statement issued on Twitter, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority stated that it considers the action of Twitter admin against set principles of freedom of speech. The Twitter accounts of Pakistani users were suspended without any warning and on unsubstantiated grounds, as per PTA.

Yesterday, Director-General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor had also tweeted regarding the suspension of twitter accounts of Pakistani users. He said that most of the accounts are getting suspended for extending support to Kashmir. DG ISPR had also assured that the issue will be resolved soon.
Pakistani users are facing problems on Twitter. Mostly on expressions in support of Kashmir. Accounts are being suspended on one pretext or the other. Authorities are in contact and issues will be resolved soon. Stay put as responsibe users to defeat all those involved in this.
