Punjab announces school timings for Ramadan

The Punjab School Education Department has announced new timings of schools during the holy month of Ramadan. The new school timings in the province were proposed during a meeting of the school education department held in the provincial capital.

According to details, the school timings in Punjab will be reduced by two hours during Ramadan. Both boys and girls’ schools will operate from 8:00am to 12:30pm and 7:30am to 12:15pm respectively.

The new timings will be applicable from the first of Ramadan if it gets approved.

According to the current schedule, boys’ school operate from 8:00 to 2:30 pm while, girls’ school operate from 8:00 to 2:45 pm.

The school department will issue a final notification in this regard following consultation with all education authorities.
