Punjab government to provide Japanese tech training to agriculturists

The Punjab government has decided to increase the production of agriculture goods in the province. In this regard, the government will impart training of Japanese technology to make the farming method more resourceful.

The Agriculture Officer Sialkot, Sami Tahir, said that the government would provide the latest Japanese equipment to agriculturists on subsidized rates.

Tahir further stated that the collection of applications for supply of said equipment has started and after completion of this process, scrutiny of applications would be completed.

Process of equipment distribution

  • After scrutiny, the equipment will be delivered on merit.
  • Around 400 agriculturists had submitted applications.

Tahir said that the Punjab government has decided to provide rice transplanters, nursery raising machine, Rota weightier, and direct seeder drill to agriculturists on half price.

The Punjab government has also decided to announce quota of PKR 10.5 million for agricultural machinery to the property-owners of Sialkot.

Sami Tahir said that selected agriculturalists have to pay only 50% of the total cost of an agricultural machine.
