Punjab’s Education Minister, Dr. Murad Raas, took to Twitter to share the news. He further said that the Punjab government has kept up with its promise to the teachers, ‘Promises made – Promises delivered,’ he added.
ANNOUNCEMENT
First good news for our 14,000 Teachers is that the file for Regularisation has been initiated, signed and moved forward. Promises made – Promises delivered. More good news coming soon InshAllah.— Murad Raas (@DrMuradPTI) August 16, 2022
The Education Minister concluded by telling everyone that there will be more good news coming ‘soon.’
The incumbent provincial government had decided to regularize thousands of teachers during its last tenure. However, after the government’s ouster earlier this year, the promise wasn’t fulfilled.
Recently, after the PTI-led coalition government came back to power, the process of regularisation was started.
A similar event in June this year took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The PTI government in KP announced the regularisation of numerous school and college teachers.
Details have revealed that the KP government had announced to regularise about 58,000 government teachers. Moreover, the government had also decided to make 720 ad-hoc doctors and 4,070 employees of the ex-FATA project permanent. In total, the government had decided to regularise more than 60,000 employees.
