[VIDEO] Punjab Sports Minister meets legendary wrestler Din Muhammad to thank him for his contributions

The athlete thanked the Punjab government for recognizing his attainments and honoring him.

The Punjab Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs, and Tourism, Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti visited the residence of Pakistan’s legendary wrestler, Din Muhammad to pay tribute to his achievements. Din Muhammad won a gold medal for Pakistan in the 1954 Asian Games.

To honor Mohammad’s accomplishments, Bhatti awarded him with a cheque and an appreciation certificate on behalf of The Sports Board Punjab.

The athlete thanked the Punjab government for recognizing his achievements and honoring him.

‘’Today is a very memorable day for me. Punjab Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs, and Tourism Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti visited my home and honored me on behalf of the Punjab government’’, Mohammad said.

Minister Bhatti said that the players who have won titles and medals for Pakistan in international competitions are the nation’s real heroes.

He promised that he would recommend Muhammad’s name to CM Punjab Usman Buzdar for a house in the ‘Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme’.

‘’His name will be included in the list of Pakistan’s sports legend, who will be honored at an award ceremony in the near future’’, Bhatti said.

Rai Bhatti said legends like Din Muhammad are an inspiration for the younger generation, and the services they’ve rendered for the country cannot be forgotten.
