After the pilot project of a paperless driving license system in Rawalpindi, the system is now being introduced in other cities of the province.

The  Punjab Traffic Police has decided to extend the paperless driving license system across the province.

The DIG Traffic Police Punjab, Sohail Akhtar Sukhera, stated that after the pilot project of a paperless driving license system in Rawalpindi, the system is now being introduced in other cities of the province.

Sukhera added, “In the next phase, the paperless driving license system will be set up in Faisalabad.”

The DIG Traffic also said that the citizens should enjoy all facilities of having the driving license system, under one roof by this current project.

Unlike in the past, the driving license candidate will only bring an identity card issued by NADRA and become part of the system through biometrics.

He further went on to say that after the implementation of the system, the candidate would not have to take the file and fill it up, nor would he have to go around to take photographs for attaching on the file.

Similarly, there will be no need to go to the post office for driving license tickets.
