Raveena Tandon opens up about when India sent Nawaz Sharif bombs with her name on it

A lot of us might not know but Bollywood actress, Raveena Tandon, was said to be one of the favourite actresses of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
You might have seen pictures of a green bomb with “From Raveena Tandon To Nawaz Sharif” written on it on social media. According to reports, the bombs were sent to the former PM by some Indian soldiers as a gift during the Kargil War.
Well, Raveena Tandon, for the first time, has opened up about the bombs sent to Nawaz Sharif with her named on it. In a Twitter spaces session, the Bollywood diva said that she saw the bombs much later. She also advised the entire world to choose love and talk over wars.
“I saw it much later. However, I would advise the whole world that if anything can be negotiated with love and talk, please do it. Khoon ka rang laal idhar bhi hai aur udhar bhi (People bleed on both sides of the border). No one should feel proud about any mother losing their sons or daughters… If I have to stand there [defending the border] to safeguard my country, de do mere haath mein bandook, main vahaan khadi ho jaaungi (give me a gun and I’ll stand there),” she said.
In 2016, the three times Prime Minister had also invited Sharmila Tagore for a meal at his residence in Jati Umra near Raiwind Lahore. The Bollywood actress was in Lahore to attend the Lahore Literary Festival (LLF) upon which the then PM sent an invite to the veteran celebrity.
