After 19 days of search, dead bodies of two minor brothers were found in the gutter of a madrassa. 7-year-old Munsif and 5-year-old Asif Khan went missing on the 7th of March.
They went to the madrassa to attend their class and never came back. Their father, Shafeeq Khan, filed the complaint with the police, saying that he was in Peshawar’s Lady Reading Hospital with his mother when the incident took place.
Following the police investigation, it was found out that the victims’ own paternal uncle, Mughal Khan, was involved in the murder. Mughal is also serving as Imam Masjid in the local mosque. The culprits were arrested by KP police, who accepted their crime saying they did it for the property.
Mughal told the police that his first-cousin Shafeeq had illegally occupied his land. He abducted and murdered his sons because he was deprived of his due right in property.
