The State Bank of Pakistan is set to launch a new scheme, Roshan Apna Ghar, for overseas Pakistanis to acquire property in Pakistan this week.

The initiative was taken after the overwhelming success of the Roshan Digital Accounts and various relevant features to facilitate expatriate Pakistanis.

Overseas Pakistanis can now buy a house in Pakistan through the Roshan Digital Account. It is a major initiative of the State Bank of Pakistan, launched on the 10th of September, 2020, in association with commercial banks working in Pakistan.

These accounts give innovative banking solutions for millions of Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs) seeking to undertake Pakistan’s trading, installment, and financing activities.

Under the scheme, many financial products have been provided to the non-resident Pakistanis, including the Naya Pakistan Certificate for investment, the Roshan Apni Car for car financing, and the Roshan Samaaji Khidmat for donation and charities.

The Roshan Apna Ghar is the new lifestyle banking scheme in the same category. Non-resident Pakistanis can now easily purchase or receive financing from sitting in their houses abroad.

They can purchase or finance a house from the bank’s pre-approved projects or other property without visiting a bank branch.

The tax process is simple. In the case of selling the property, the capital amount invested can be remitted abroad without needing approval.

Moreover, financing is available in both conventional and Shariah-compliant variants, along with attractive profit rates.
