Sammy to David Wiese: International cricketers term Pakistan safe

Here is what international stars are saying about the security arrangements in Pakistan.

Darren Sammy in PakistanDifferent international cricketers have come forward and expressed their satisfaction with the security arrangements during their time in Pakistan. Yesterday, the New Zealand Cricket unilaterally postponed their Pakistan tour over security concerns.

Following this major blow to the Pakistan cricket, Darren Sammy, David Wiese, Angelo Perera and Dimuth Karunaratne termed Pakistan safe for international cricket.

Darren Sammy:

Former captain of the West Indies cricket team, Darren Sammy, expressed his disappointment over the cancellation of the cricket series. He also termed playing and visiting Pakistan as “one of the most enjoyable experiences.”

“I’ve always felt safe,” he added.

Sammy also shared a video of playing cricket with youngsters in Pakistan.

Dimuth Karunaratne:

The captain of the Sri Lanka test team, Dimuth Karunaratne, also shared his experience of visiting Pakistan, besides expressing his disappointment over the cancellation of the Kiwis tour. He recalled the security arrangements made during the tour.

Angelo Perera:

Another Sri Lankan cricketer, Angelo Perera, was also all praise for the security arrangements and the hospitality in Pakistan.

David Wiese:

According to South African cricketer David Wiese, he always always enjoyed himself in Pakistan, ‘the people are very welcoming and the security has never been an issue.’

Moreover, Sri Lanka cricket journalist, Daniel Alexander, stated that the only reasons different teams visited and different players, including New Zealand cricketers, played in Pakistan is only because Pakistan is safe for cricket.
