At least three Arab states have greenlighted Israel’s planned annexation of large parts of the occupied Palestinian West Bank, Israel Hayom revealed a few days back.

According to the daily, at least three Arab states, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt, have secretly given the go-ahead for Israel’s annexation of the occupied West Bank and Jordan Valley. At the same time, they continue to publicly oppose the plan.

A Saudi official was reported by the Israeli newspaper saying that the kingdom would not undermine its relationship with the United States for the sake of “hundreds” of Palestinians.

Since Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman (MBS) became the de facto ruler of the country and was named heir to the Saudi throne, the oil-rich peninsular state has been accused of normalizing relations with Israel and spreading anti-Palestinian rhetoric.

Israel, Saudis hold secret talks for Riyadh to take control over Masjid Al-Aqsa, join Temple Mount Waqf, and curb Turkish presence in the region.

Israel and Saudi Arabia have reportedly been engaged in secret talks since last December, through U.S. mediation, over including Saudi representatives in the Islamic Waqf Council at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

This development has been taking place in light of U.S. President Donald Trump’s “Deal of the Century,”; a plan to apply Israeli sovereignty in the Jordan Valley and the large illegal Israeli settlement blocs in Judea and Samaria.

Senior Saudi diplomats confirmed to Israel Hayom that “these talks are sensitive and clandestine and have been conducted by small teams of security officials and diplomats from Israel, the U.S., and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of the Trump administrations’ Peace to Prosperity Middle East initiative.”

The Deal of The Century is a proposal by Trump to allegedly solve the Israeli–Palestinian dispute. Donald Trump formally revealed the plan in a White House press conference alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, although no Palestinian authorities were invited for negotiations.

The Deal of The Century will make the illegal Israeli settlements on the Palestinian West Bank legal, and they would officially become part of Israeli territory.

Pakistan’s Senate has unanimously passed a resolution that rejects Trump’s controversial Middle East peace plan. The decision, tabled by Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan from Jamaat-e-Islami, was supported by all treasury and opposition members.
