"Best wishes to cricket KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). How about Peshawar Zalmi Vs. KSA in Saudi," Afridi wrote on Twitter.
Saudi Arabia’s national cricket team has welcomed the challenge by Peshawar Zalmi of inviting them for a friendly game.
Javed Afridi, the owner of Peshawar Zalmi, hinted last week of taking his team to Saudi Arabia for a friendly match.
“Best wishes to cricket KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). How about Peshawar Zalmi Vs. KSA in Saudi,” Afridi wrote on Twitter.

Responding to Afridi, the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF) informed Arab News, the Saudi cricket team’s official media partner, that the Saudi side looks forward to playing a friendly match with Peshawer Zalmi.
“We thank Afridi for the beautiful gesture, good wishes to the Saudi national cricket team, and appreciation. We look forward to much cooperation with all great cricket-playing countries, such as Pakistan.”

“As far as an invitation to play a friendly game is concerned, we welcome the challenge and anticipate playing the game at a reciprocally agreed date and place, here in the kingdom,” said Nadeem Nadwi, General Manager, SACF.
Meanwhile, speaking to Arab News earlier last week, Afridi said Pakistan had excellent relations with Saudi Arabia and had always extended its support in every field.
“Pakistan, especially my Peshawar Zalmi, will extend any cooperation required by our Saudi brothers,” Afridi said.
“I wish and hope that Saudi Arabia’s team will soon be among the world’s top international teams, representing the Saudi nation,” he said.
Afridi added, “If Saudi players benefit from the Pakistani expertise, it will be a matter of pride and honor.”
