SBP rejects rumors of Imposing Rs. 1,000 cash withdrawal limit

On Saturday, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) clarified that it had not restricted the ATM cash withdrawal limit to ₨. 1,000.

In a Twitter statement, the SBP said it categorically rejects the false message making rounds on social media, attributing to it that the ATM cash withdrawal limit is restricted to ₨. 1,000.

“SBP does not put any restriction on ATM withdrawal limit. Banks determine about such limits,” it added.

“Dear customer, as per State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) directions, ATM cash withdrawal limit is limited to 1000 PKR from 0000 hrs 23 Jan 21 to 0800 hrs 31 Jan 21,” read a message shared on Twitter.
