PTI made tall claims of investing in the education sector of the country unlike the predecessor governments and announced education and health as the topmost priority of the government.
Educational reforms proposed by PTI were, reportedly, aimed at introducing a uniform curriculum, to enroll out of the school children, emphasizing the skill development of students and improving the quality of education to enhance the competitive abilities of the students.
Madrassa students were also to get special consideration with the introduction of scientific subjects in addition to religious ones. However, the new announcement came up with quite a new direction and hinted at schoolgoing girls to save them from harassment.

Now all the schoolgirls will conceal themselves so as to avoid any untoward incident that may harm them. The headmistresses of schools are strictly bound to comply with the order. However, liberty has been granted to the students whether they opt to wear an abaya or cover themselves with a considerably large piece of clothing called chaddar.
The decision for primary, middle, and higher secondary schools has been done in order to protect the schoolgirls from any sort of unethical incident. Advisor on education revealed that the parents of schoolgirls demanded to adopt some means so that students can go to schools with their bodies duly covered.
He further said that the decision has been made keeping in view the religious, and cultural values. The initiative was first taken by the Haripur administration in which District Education Office Haripur has made it mandatory for all the schoolgirls to wear abaya, gown or chadar and will now be implemented all across the province.
The decision for the new dress code for the school going girls have been taken to address the grievances of the parents so that more and more girls will go for school education, Ziaullah added.
