Recently, the legendary Pakistani film actor, Shafqat Cheema, revealed that he once bit off a snake‘s head after getting into a conflict with late comedian Umer Sharif.
The film actor recently appeared in Nida Yasir’s morning show, ‘Good Morning Pakistan.’
While discussing his conflict with the late Umer Sharif, Cheema mentioned that “Umer Sharif gave me a dangerous stunt to do during shooting, saying that he will cast me as the main villain in his film. I had to shoot a scene with almost 200 snakes around me. I risked my life to get the role.”
“After I completed the shoot, I got to know that the role went to actor Mustafa Qureshi and I was asked to play his bodyguard. At that moment, I could not bear Umer Sharif’s lie, and in anger, I bit off the snake’s head which was hanging on my neck. The venom of the snake spread inside my body, and I was admitted to the hospital”, added Cheema.
Shafqat Cheema is famous for portraying antagonistic characters in Punjabi, Pashto, and Urdu films and is considered Pakistan’s most acclaimed villain.
