Shaheen Afridi expresses his admiration for Mohammad Rizwan following his ‘hug gesture’

Multan Sultans unbeaten run in the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 came to an end with a thumping 52 runs defeat at the hands of Lahore Qalandars. The Qalandars are now on the second spot in the PSL points table.

The game was the centre of attention as fans eagerly waited to see the battle between the captains of the two teams. Although, Mohammad Rizwan failed to continue his brilliant run with the bat but he did win the hearts of cricket fans. The wicket-keeper batter’s ‘hug gesture’ towards Shaheen Shah Afridi became fans’ favourite moment of the game.

The fast bowler tried to show some aggression but Rizwan’s gesture put a smile on his face. Now, the Lahore Qalandars’ skipper took to his Twitter to express his admiration for the Sultans’ skipper.

“I have my utmost respect and admiration for this man. It’s always a pleasure to share the field with him, be as teammates or as an opposition. Always very competitive yet so humble and friendly, he’s set the benchmark for everyone. A proper role model,” Shaheen tweeted.
