The former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi, who is currently leading the Lanka Premier League side Galle Gladiators, has suddenly left Sri Lanka amid the tournament.
He tweeted, “Unfortunately, I have a personal emergency to attend to back home.”

However, he went on to assure his fans that he “will return to join my team at the LPL immediately after the situation is settled down.”

Before the tournament started, Afridi joined his team a day late after missing his flight to Sri Lanka. However, the all-rounder arguably made up for it with a highly entertaining performance during the first Galle Gladiators match on Friday.
