‘This country makes me want to cry’, Shaneira Akram disappointed in Pakistanis
Despite Prime Minister Imran Khan repeatedly urging the people to stay inside, they are paying no heed.
Social activist Shaniera Akram, and wife of legendary cricketer Waseem Akram, took to Twitter to express how Pakistanis have disappointed her. She stated her concerns about the careless behavior of people, who stopped following the social distancing protocols as soon as the lockdown was lifted.
Despite Prime Minister Imran Khan repeatedly urging people to stay inside their homes, they are paying no heed. Markets are crowded and roads remain blocked due to traffic congestion even as COVID-19 cases in Pakistan are increasing rapidly.
– Coronavirus vs Eid Shopping. What’s the point of your Eid shopping if you’re going to be party to spreading COVID-19…
Shaneira tweeted that seeing the videos of traffic-blocked roads and congested market places swamped with people without masks and violating safety protocols ”makes her want to cry”.
Seeing footage of traffic blocked roads, congested streets and market places and hundreds of people without even a mask on. This country makes me want to cry

Here’s how the people reacted to her tweet:
Its Pakistan where people are not much aware of seriousness of this virus , countries likes US and some other devlope countries where the have mostly educated people, you will see people doing the same . No one take it serious anymore which is sad .

If this country can make you cry in just a few years of your living, just imagine what the people who spend their whole life here go through. Its beyond comprehension and logic bhabi.
