Actor Shehroz Sabzwari is facing backlash for his remarks about rising inflation and prices amid the economic crisis in Pakistan.
The actor recently appeared in an interview for Express TV’s show hosted by Rabia Anum with his wife Sadaf Kanwal. In the interview, Sabzwari said that people would not feel the effects of inflation if they are thankful to Allah for everything.
‘Now people would say that I am saying this on the Television because I am not impacted by it. But if you have the power to show gratitude in all situations, you will not be influenced by the rising prices,’ he added further.
The Nand actor is currently under fire as people are reacting to his statement. Twitter and other social media sites are flooded with people mocking him for giving an ‘Islamic touch’ to the economic crisis currently going on in the country.
The public is also pointing out how the actor is simply tone deaf. While people do agree that it is important to be thankful, they are also mentioning the actor’s ignorant attitude towards those struggling due to inflation in the country.
A Twitter user wrote, ‘Shehroz Sabzwari says that being thankful is the solution to inflation. Can being thankful lower flour prices to 40rs per kg?’
Another user Tweeted, ‘Shehroz is so tone deaf. He should join politics, he would have a lot of scope there.’

But when it comes to shukar, he is not wrong.
