Sikh community nominates PM Imran Khan for Nobel Peace Prize
Prime Minister Imran Khan has won the hearts of the Sikh community all over the world after his Kartarpur initiative.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has won the hearts of many Sikhs all over the world. PM Khan’s act of opening the Kartarpur Corridor got a lot of appreciation regardless of relations between Pakistan and India. PM Khan’s act has moved Sikhs around the world, that a group of Sikhs demands Nobel Prize for the Pakistani Prime Minister.
A few Sikh associations, including “Sikhs for Justice”, have decided to start a campaign advocating Nobel Prize for Prime Minister Imran Khan to recognize his peace efforts.
Letter to Nobel Council
The Sikh community will be writing a letter to the Nobel Council in this regard. Nobel council is a body liable for choosing Nobel laureates. The letter will feature the importance of Kartarpur opening amid increased Pakistan-India stiffness.
The letter will also highlight how the government, on the instructions of PM Khan, overlooked all the political differences between India-Pakistan to assist the Indian Sikh minority and highlighting Pakistan’s efforts for regional harmony.
Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan successfully inaugurated the Kartarpur corridor on November 9. The gathering of over 12,000 Sikh pilgrims, along with the former prime minister of India Manmohan Singh and cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, was present at the opening ceremony.
PM Khan in his speech said, “I am happy we could do this for you”.
He further said that he had no idea how important this place is for the Sikh community, and Pakistan is more than happy to be able to do that for them.
