SNGPL to construct sales meter stations in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to overcome low gas pressure

To control low gas pressure in different areas, the Board of Directors of the Sui Northern Gas Company Limited (SNGPL) has authorized the development of sales meter stations all over Lahore.

Sales Meter Stations (SMS)

According to the official of the SNGPL, Rs5.7 billion will be consumed on the construction of at least three sales meter stations (SMS).

The spokesperson added that a pipeline of a 24-inch radius and a 16-inch radius would be laid for Suay Aasil and Burki Road, respectively.

Many SMSs are currently operational at Shahdara and Mohlanwal.

Project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The SNGPL has planned a project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to overcome the UFG losses in the province. Overall, the project will cost Rs9 billion, and it will cover the area around 2,677 km.

In the first phase, the SNGPL will lay around 512 km area, which will cover 48 villages under SMS, including Chokara, Karak, Shakardara, and Hangu.

The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Federal Minister for Petroleum has formally inaugurated the project today.
