Government orders SNGPL to assure provision of natural gas To 25,000 families in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has approved the supply of natural gas facility to 25,000 families in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), according to Ary News.
This has been done so on the orders of the federal government. Himayatullah, KP’s Energy Adviser, commented on the matter saying that the project will cost Rs. 2.5 billion from which Rs. 950 million will come from the provincial government.
Earlier in October, the KP government allotted one billion rupees for the provision of natural gas to the southern district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
These districts include Hangu, Karak, and Kohat, as reported by news sources. Seventy thousand houses will benefit once this project is completed.
Mehmood Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM), on 30th September, inaugurated the gas supply line in Dara Adam Khel. The project cost Rs. 350 million, and would help in supplying gas to five clans of Dara Adam Khel.
