‘Self-centered people, consider them mega stars’, Sanam Saeed and Hasan Kazmi engage in a Twitter spat
Here's what went down!
Pakistani movie Ishrat Made in China was released in cinemas nationwide on the 3rd of March. The movie stars actors Mohib Mirza and Sanam Saeed in lead roles. However, the film wasn’t promoted like other Pakistani movies.
There were no billboards assigned to the film; no hype was created around the songs and trailers of the movie. The songs and trailers were just casually released on public platforms a few days before the movie’s release.
Actress Sanam Saeed took to Twitter to share her disappointment with the movie’s promotional work. The Pakistani diva expressed how the cinemas let her down by not displaying promotional banners of her film:
Journalist Hasan Kazmi stepped into the conversation to defend the cinemas. He called the actress self-centered and criticized her film:
Sanam Saeed expressed disbelief at the Journalist trying to poke his nose where his opinion wasn’t needed:
However, Hasan Kazmi did not stop his critique and commented again:
This time Sanam did not take the criticism lightly and asked the journalist to stop dragging the argument:
On the other hand, Nuplex Cinemas shared a statement reasoning why they didn’t promote Sanam Saeed’s film:
After reading the cinema’s statement, many are siding with the journalist Hasan Kazmi’s criticism of the movie.
